Perks
What are perks? Perks are like talents in an RPG game. You earn XP by killing monsters and with XP you earn levels. After leveling up you get to choose a perk. For example, a perk called Fastloader enables you to reload extremely fast. During a session perks will stack up a and every game will be a bit different. You'll unlock perks during the quest mode after which they become available in the survival game modes.
Weapons & Carnage
We've created a huge arsenal of 30 unique weapons ranging from the humble pistol to the mysterious Shrinkifier 5k. The weapons are unlocked by playing the quest mode and they become available in survival game modes as well. The better your arsenal - the better chances you have at scoring higher outside the quest mode.
Co-op Mayhem
All Crimsonland game modes feature local co-op for up to four players. Gather your friends and show everyone who wields the gauss shotgun like a pro!
Crimsonland Classic, the 2003 version, is included as a FREE extra!
Explode 50 creatures to gibs within the first 30 seconds of a level.

I had this game back when Reflexive Interactive or whoever were the ones selling it. I was lucky and ran into it on accident right about when it was first released, and was there right up until the front news page stopped getting constant updates. Played this game way too much, it's a total blast. Now it's on GOG. Get it.
Everyone I know disagrees on COD vs Battlefield and Starcraft vs Total Annihilation but they all love Crimsonland. Everyone. It's a universally fantastic game. Cannot go wrong. I got it within 5 minutes of seeing the store page because it is worth it, more so now it's from GOG. I repeat, you cannot go wrong with this purchase. Games should only be something you play and have fun, not graphics or audio or a few gimmicks. Having fun is what this game does best and is a universal 5/5 for all gamers.
I have beat the Quest Mode ( First Gamemod that unlock nearly all the Perks and Allmost every Weapon) in 4 hour. The game have diffrent Enemy Typs, but 90% of the game you simply run in big circle and shoot what get in your way.
What Bad about the game is:
- They is only 1 Map in that they only change the texture. They are no Walls or any other barrier in the map that you can use for a tactic or to take cover. Its simply an open field!
- The enemys in the Quest mode can be beaten mostly with the same strategie. They simply run to your direction. they are only 3-5 Enemy that has a distance attack and some are mobil crittergenerator. 90% of the game play exact same with no diffrent between level 2 or level 35.
-The Perks that you unlock in the Quest modus was not part of the Gameplay in that Modus. They are only the Weapon that you unlock and Use in that Gamemod.
- Sometimes the Game spawn level low Level Weapon in the End part of the Game were they are nearly ussles so they is no way as too Restart the level.
- no Second Weaponeffect or a Meleefight option.
The Good Thing:
+ They are loots of Guns and cool Powerups
+ The Game is total Gore and the Graphic fits perfect
+KOOP MODUS
+ when you beat the Quest modus you open other Gamemodus ( No weapon mod only way to kill is using powerups, Wave modus with level and Perk system, No reloading you must pick up new gund to have ammo...)
+ They are other enemy types as Zombies. They are Snakepeople, Insects, Spiders, Mutants.
Short. i have play Game with the same mechanic that was better and cost lesser Money. But the Koop Modus save Crimsonland.
Crimsonland is a pretty good arcade style top-down shooter. It has a lot of weapons, perks, pickups and a great diversity of monsters to kill. There are 60 levels in the quest (campaign) mode. The terrain is always a flat open wasteland with nothing to use for cover. For the biggest part, you keep running around in circles, finding and shooting yourself a way out through the gaps in hordes of monsters. There are other modes, like 'Survival' and it is possible to play Quest mode again with a higher difficulty level. But, with so many other games available these days, I'm not gonna spend more time on that.
A long time ago this used to be a fun and simple top-down action shooter. Now there is a clunky and ugly UI and needless RPG elements. This game isn't worth $14 or even $5 with how much competition there is in this space. Avoid it entirely or at least make sure you refund it in time!
