Crimsonland

This game was a lot of fun when it first got out and to my surprise it got even better now. It's nicely polished, it has more effects than I remember it to have back then, and it also works in Linux, with Wine. Awesome! o/

You run around, shoot monsters, and collect stuff to more efficiently shoot monsters. Simple, cathartic, and tons of fun.

Definitely, a game with more blood and Frags Per Second in the world! Tons of guns, perks, bonuses and stuff makes a best arcade ever made by men! Now it has coop, Ill go addict my friends on it

Crimsonland...ah what a classic, I played the original a long time ago and it was pretty neat; now I picked this up on the sale, and it's a fantastic shooter, so much so that I bought it on iPad/iPhone as well. Crimsonland is a shooter that exhibits the purity of the genre: Gore, Violence, and Kill everything that moves. There isn't whole much more to the whole game so please don't expect it to be the next CoD or Aliens title, more of a "Minigore" before it was actually a thing. go ahead and spend your 2-10 dollars on this classic while it's here, it's pretty cool AND you get the classic (works in wineskin btw) and the remake here works on Mac and PC! The only flaw is that the game eventually has a final level...and good god is it hard.

The original one is 5/5 -- it's hands down the best top down shooter. Now the remake is.. well... meh. It's not something you'll play for years as I did with the original. Even the freeware version (yes, early versions of Crimsonland are freeware) is ways better.
