This Game Got Realistic Car Damage System, Fully Detailed Cars, Not Bad Story.
Crash Time: Undercover surprised me extremely. I was expecting a trashy, cheap racing game, but I got a really good arcade racer. The missions are actually very varied, but there are also many normal lap races. However, both missions and races are a lot of fun and aren't too difficult, even on "Normal", which is a welcome change for me since most racing games are extremely difficult. I'm just not a professional in this field.
The AI knows how to drive, but occasionally makes mistakes, which makes the whole thing a little more believable. The gadgets, which unfortunately you don't have in every mission, add a lot of value to the game, especially the grappling hook is my favorite gadget. The driving experience is really good, the cars are mostly very comfortable to drive, there is an almost realistic driving feeling, albeit a little in the “arcade” direction.
After a short period of getting used to it, you always feel like you have full control over your car. The game forgives driving mistakes relatively often, you have to do a lot of things wrong to lose on "Normal", but the game remains exciting and, above all, crashes are actually a lot of fun.
I can only recommend this game to any fan of arcade racing games. Plus, the landscape really looks like Germany :)
I started with Crash Time 3. Bought it on sale and I really love the arcade racing game.
This is more of the same, I think. I have played about 1-2 hours and I like it!
I have it on Steam! At the time of buying this on Steam, I didn't know this would appear on GOG, otherwise I would have bought it on GOG :'(
The physics are fun but its just a physics-ish track racing game loosely veiled as a "cops and robbers" chase game because they couldnt make enough of the content you actually want from this game. Definietly worth it on special for a bit of fun, but the advertising was honestly a little misleading. Expect roughly 40% of what you're expecting from the trailer vs 60% standard track racing.
It is a good arcade racer with the typical cheesy storyline and voice acting; However, it makes up for it with the driving gameplay and the car damage models when you get into crashing and racing. There is no basic free roaming/patrol mode like the other previous entries, however you can pretty much roam around during missions if you really like and can disable auto reset with a cheat code allowing you to drive anywhere on the maps.
Compared to the trailer, a good portion of the game is track racing which does get tedious as it is after every regular mission it seems, and there are only 3-4 actual missions where you go on police type missions instead of the track racing. Aside from that, you can expect the typical driving game missions such as tailing and wrecking the enemy vehicle. Overall, I would say this is a good purchase.
