Story? Crash cars
High speed crashes all the time, dirt tracks, ovals, long road by coast. The car just keeps on going. Great music and sound effects too.

Fast and Fun Arcade-style Racing
Crashtime Undercover sets the player behind the wheel as a pair of undercover police trying to bring down the criminal rings from the inside. You switch between mission-specific objective 'races' and regular multi lap races around a track. The closest comparison I can give in my limited racing game experience is that it's akin to Flatout with arcade racing, bumping/crashing encouraged (or even required) at times, but also adds some weaponry to disrupt opponents. The Good: -Decent variation in tracks (there may not be a lot of unique tracks, but the ones that are there are set up very differently throughout the game) while also giving you the highways and streets in the courier/police missions -Very nice visuals and sounds along with good enough controls (I used an xbox 360-like controller for it) to keep you happy -Moderate difficulty on Normal; I'm no racing game expert, but I didn't have too much trouble except with a few particular objectives and those were a me learning the game issue, not a game too hard issue. -Decent variety in cars, you get more as you advance -Fast-paced and fun with weapons (EMP to temporarily short out opponents, oil slick, spike strips and a couple others) to get through levels The Bad: -While there are missions that you are overtly a policeman in a police cruiser, there aren't very many, more would be nice -The (English) voice-acting is ok, not amazing -The 'story' is pretty limited and honestly doesn't even really need to be there -Courses (including the streets and highways) can be pretty strict in not letting you go much off the road. Sometimes even if you can cut through a grassy area on a tight curve, the game will not allow it and will reset you on the road automatically. The Bottomline: As mentioned above, I'm not deep into racing games, but the arcade style and quick paced racing appealed to me and I've had a great time with it. It gives that wrecklessness of Flatout and a touch of cart-racing style to a more realistic environment with an attempt to play out a cops and robbers story. The game is easy to pick up and get into while also being easy to set down when you must. If you're a fan of arcade racing, or not a serious racing gamer but you like the occasional fast car game, you may want to give this one a try, I've had a great time with it.
