The Cossacks series are a bestseller of the real-time strategy game genre that sold over 4 million copies worldwide. Winners of the PC Zone - Award for Excellence, and they are an unquestionable gem in the genre. This pack includes the original Cossacks and its two expansions in which the developers really took the feedback from the fans into consideration, and through that they managed to improve the game even further. The result is an almost perfect, and quite realistic, strategy game in which you can write your own version of post-Renaissance European history.
What makes Cossacks shine among other RTS games is its depth and lasting appeal. With 20 unique nations (each with its own set of perks), 200 missions, sophisticated economic and political systems, and a polished multiplayer mode, it offers countless hours of top-notch strategy gaming. There are only a few games like it and none of them match the perfect balance between realism and simplicity that made the Cossacks series so great.
Cossacks Anthology includes: Cossacks: European Wars, Cossacks: The Art of War, and Cossacks: Back to War.
Historically accurate campaigns and realistically recreated battles where you can manage up to 8,000 units on the field at once.
Includes features such as: mission editor, random map generator, and various multiplayer modes.

Problem with launch and change resolution. As I remember game was good, but remaster has technical problem. And Gog.com closed my technical request before I can answer on their question.
I bought it mainly because the overall rating of 4.4 is very high. It might be okay for people who played it back in the day, but I couldn't get into it at all. I play a lot of old games, so I already expected it to be very different to modern games. It could've dealt with the graphics, but everything about this game feels wrong to me. Sound design, unit control, gameplay in general,...
I'd avoid it. On the other hand it's quite cheap, especially when it's on sale. So you don't lose much when you deside to check it out yourself.
I've been hooked on this game for 14 years. I still play it today. If you like RTS I don't think you can go wrong with this one... especially at the price. If I had to choose from my current library only one game to keep this one would be it. I love it. LOVE IT.
Solo players: you can definitly buy it! it's a great game
LAN multi players: Don't buy it, multiplayers games are unplayable: the game is running too fast since the game speed depends on your CPU speed... That's insane but it's true. Not gog.com fault, tough. But I think that a warning should be displayed
I would appreciate if someone could suggest a workaround (excluding downclocking my CPU...)
Great games these, but sadly they do not operate correctly on the latest version of windows 10.
European wars won't load into the game, menu works well but that's about it.
Back to war you can play, but the giving of commands doesn't work. For example:
You select a group of men and order them to move to a point, maybe half will move and the rest stay still - or none of them move. You select a spawn point for a barracks, they just mass outside the door still.
This didn't happen on the original game so not sure why it's happening here, but it makes it insanely hard to try and order your men to attack.
Thankfully this is so cheap it doesn't really matter, but it's a shame.
