Very fun action shooter

The game is mainly a shooter like Max Payne so it's much more intense and difficult than Alan Wake. The world settings is essentially a combination of Cabin in the Woods, the X-Files, SCP foundation, and several other things. The gameplay is third person shooting with super powers that you gradually get. There's a lot of grinding to get some upgrades but is not needed to progress in the game or to get the best stuff. One of the things I liked more about the game is the satisfaction I get from beating certain boss battles and the expedition levels which at first seem impossible to beat but then become very manageable and some even easy just by learning the strategy and how to use the powers. Something I didn't like that much is that once you get a bit experienced in the game you learn there's really not much reason to use any other weapons besides the original and there's no point in changing mods once you get the good ones even though there's a lot of variety

Better gameplay than Alan Wake

Combat flows a whole lot better in this game than in Alan Wake, also better than I recall Quantum Break flow. The graphics look good, if a bit samey. Gray and black is to this game what rust and gray were to Quake back in the day. Very much the same, but somehow still managing to have some somewhat unique looking locales with it. I'd give this game 3.5 stars. Where I replay Alan Wake regularly for the setting, the atmosphere and the very cheesy story, this has a few things going for it in the setting. But that's about it. Most of the background is just text reading. If you like SCP style documents you'll probably enjoy this. Where Wake had a flowing narrative always moving forward, this feels more like it was intended to be a live service game, encouraging you to grind up random generated extra missions over and over. The floors of the Oldest House (and the Foundation) are distinct enough to mostly be recognizable, but it quickly ends up feeling you're just going over the same place again and again, with frequent nudges to go back to a previous area to grind up more enemies. Reason this ended with 4 instead of 3 stars is because the combat _does_ feel good on the most part. And what can I say, I'm a sucker for the paranormal. If you hope to find atmosphere and story direction like Alan Wake, maybe give this a miss. If you want some quite competent and at times fun shooting in a paranormal setting, you could do worse.

If you Like Star Wars..*Repetitive?more*

The story;I honestly have no idea what it is about,like really,zero idea for two main reasons,first one i didn't care and second one the art department outdid themselves with this game,trust me, instead of the story you are going to be wanting to see more of the insane paranormal art like style this game has.Now,what i did understand is basically the usual theme, you know,good vs evil but this time with some paranormal stuff in the middle as you see at the end of it.But if i could narrow it it would be something like this;Basically you find and odd looking building in the middle of the city wich everyone is ignoring but you,who decides to enter it like called by it to find something i believe...anyways once you enter is when things start to get interesting and really odd.First you find a dead guy,the former director of the Bureau,and you take his gun ,seemengly a normal one,after this is when the say "don't judge a book by it's cover" comes into place as the 'normal' building starts literally expanding before your eyes and you beagn fighting some bad guys called the Hiss.Spirits of corruption or something,in short bad paranormal entities,but as i said before i wasn't paying much attention to the story to put it generously(unlike other games) as i was completely absorbed by the enviroment of the House and the art...simply amazing. Gameplay;Not much to say about it really,you got a gun,your Service Weapon(you get just one,no knives nor nothing else) wich has five forms,changing from a machingun to shotgun,bazooka and other two.You also have six powers ,this are;force push,throw,mindtrick,levitation,shield and evade.Wich you can upgrade to make them more effective. Sadly you'll find yourslef using force throw and mindtrick the most as they areby far the more efective ones. Perfromance;For me farily well considering my laptop is pretty much dead,so you'll have to look at other reviews i am afraid as i can't literally play no* Enviroment,art*replayability;Mindblowing

One of my favorites

imho one of the best games in the last two years. i like the wierd though quite linear story, the graphic/soundtrack and last but not least the unique game, characters and leveldesign. Its one of the few games which i've completed in one go. I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
