Mankind has finally learned how to explore the outer regions of space using wormhole technology, but Man is not alone in the Void. I was just thinking...

"I wonder what the name of that old RTS game with separate sectors and neat ships is called?" And HERE IT IS! I didn't think GoG would have it, but they do. This is a pure nostalgia ride for me in buying this game. It was unique, but quickly got outpaced by better games like Homeworld and Star Trek: Armada. The one thing that made this game stand out for me was how it linked different maps together through wormholes. Beware that you may need to fiddle a little bit with the game installation to get it working on Windows 10. But the forum here has the solution to the problem so no worries!

CONQUEST Frontier Wars

So psyched to find this here on GOG. Not sure how I overlooked it for so long. A nostalgic blast from the past. This is a hidden gem of an RTS that is fun as hell. I originally got this back in 2001 near release day and I remember being blown away by it @ the time. The learning curve is fairly easy but the game is challenging nonetheless. It has a great storyline as well. You'll need a patch to run on Windows 10 to fix the resolution and sound issues but it is readily available and easy to install. Gameplay control is similar to Star Trek Armada games so if you enjoy those you will love this.

One of the lost gems of RTS

This game was my childhood and early teenage years. I absolutely loved this game and spent so many hours playing this game and modding it. This game is still playable on modern systems if you install an unofficial patch made by a fan called AllGrey. https://www.moddb.com/mods/conquest-2-frontier-wars-forever/downloads/cqfixpatch-allinone-12 download and install the custom patch and you can enjoy this game in the modern era.

A good resource/base development RTS

Decided to buy this one when it was on sale, cause a decent resource based RTS is a rare find these days. Overall a decent effort with lengthy SP campaign, although one is left wondering why the other 2 races didn't get full blown one (only training missions are available). Budget and development constraints perhaps. The complaints I have is the pacing. Some of the units move very very slowly and the default game speed is actually slow. Might want to set it to highest.
