Kill them quietly

Commandos was one of the first videogames i ever played. The original title and Behind the Enmy Lines were awesome. Commandos 2 was the climax of the series, i loved it when it was launched, i reloaded my savegames dozens of times only to get the perfect tactics. There are so many ways, so many options to end each level you can't get enough of it. The AI is challenging, the music charming, and the game overall has aged very well. A friend of mine accidentally broke my Commandos II CD years ago and now, thanks to GOG i had the chance of recover this gem at an affordable price. Downloading right now. This is going to be epic.

Not worth buying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not buy this game it does not work with Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. It flickers on Commandos 3 and is unplayable. I wish it was fixed but its not. Google Commandos 3 screen flickering.

Loved C2, ragequit C3

I really love Commandos 2, back then and still today, and the package is already worth buying for this game. On the other hand I hated the sniper levels and especially the hidden time limits in C3. In C2 you can take your time and, if you want, carefully take out every enemy on the map. It requires some observation of the enemy's field of view and some timing but for the most part it is in the same way challenging and relaxing as a good game of chess. In C3 you are constantly on edge due to the hidden time limits. You need to hurry and to think on your feet. Simply parking your commandos somewhere and spending the next half hour studying the map and enemy movements is next to impossible because something -will- happen in that time or shorty after and missing the opportunity will make the mission much harder or outright impossible to complete. I understand how someone can enjoy this addtional challenge. It all depends on the amount of adrenaline you like in your games.

Doesn't work on Windows 10 (1703)

Game loads some screen and custom mouse cursor, but only action possible is to go to task manager, and kill it. Compatibility mode or admin privileges don't help. Worthless purchase by now. Sadly.

Commands 2

A great continuation of the commands games, sadly Commandos 3 wasn't the greatest but I will not let that bring down my rating of this game. This is truly a game for someone who loves puzzles, granted if you want to you can go an decimate most people on the map but for me I like to get in and out getting the bonus items as stealthy as possible. Worth the low low price tag here.
