I love adventure games. I have played most of the greats, this is NOT one of them. I'd sooner replay Gabriel Knight 2 for the 4th time rather than play this game once. Still entirely bored and uninterested by chapter 3, so I gave up. Don't let all the hype and overblown reviews fool you like they did me. Play Gabriel Knight, Zork, Tex Murphy, Gemini Rue, Resonance, Uru, Last Express, The Longest Journey, and practically any other adventure game before going to these.
Its good to have proper working and polished old games in a reasonable price (got it for free, for 3 euros it is around too) ro replay or play gems and revive them.
dont expect big changes since its a 2d game, but what it is works, and its pretty good.
The one and only, the master of all the other point&click games! The story, the mood, the locations, the characters. A game like this makes one wish he/she would lose memory in order to enjoy this gaime anew.
While I haven't completed many games of this nature, The only ones i can think of being the Myst series, The only other one I have played is The Secret of Monkey Island. That game however was not able to maintain my attention. Broken Sword Shadow of The Templar on the other hand did. It has a nice short mystery story to it, appealing to teens or young adults presented in a very nice animated style, and takes about 7 hours to beat, Over all a decent way to spend time if you have nothing better to do. The game also has a decent soundtrack if you play around with Nico's stereo. If I could find any faults in this game besides it being dated, It would be that the game is to linear, None of the choices you make affect the actual story. If you are a fan of this type of game, Detective books, or have some time to kill, This game is defiantly worth a try.
