Not what I expected
Coming from LucasFilm and Sierra titles I was expecting puzzles and problems to solve. That is not the case. That part of the game is straightforward and not well thought. You don't deal with many items and you seldomly need to go back to a previous place to use one of them. It's pretty linear. I've recently played and reviewed Beneath a Steel Sky and felt the same about it, but many people said Broken Sword was a big step forward. It's not. At least in terms of puzzle quality. Like someone said in another review, this is more of a visual novel. The art is pretty good and the story is interesting. If you are here looking for that, you may give it a go.
