A bit buggy but enjoyable
I love the broken sword games and this is no exception, the game is a bit buggy in places but playable and enjoyable. Puzzles get repetitive but the game is just the right length that they aren't too tedious. Good story, great graphics and good humour.

Great continuation but weaker
Let's say it straight up! i liked the first 2 better. This one is good but something bothered me until now: the ending. I have played it several years ago when it came out in PS2 and i was traumatized by such a bad ending. George fighting a dragon come on! Hate it. However, the 3D TRANSITION WAS A PLUS AND THE LANDSCAPE IS STILL COLORFUL AND BEAUTIFUL. The puzzle are not too hard, relationship between George and Nicole still disappoints: They never could figure out what to do with those two. Don't get me wrong, the Broken Sword series is my favorite in the point and click adventure games world. it's always a pleasure to play them. It's a Must-play though, you won't regret it.

I love the series, but...
Indiana Jones... I mean George Stobbart returns, along with many other characters such as Nico and other more minor characters from the first. The game moves from the 2d graphics to 3d, I don't mind this in fact I understand that they would have to move to appeal to more people. The game is very different from the others in other ways than graphics however, the point and click aspect is gone. I overlooked that, however, they don't really teach you the buttons at the beginning so I had to go to options to set my action keys. I would have much preferred the old point and click. There was also a change in thought process, the old ones used a lot of item on item. While this kept some of that it was more about pushing blocks around and climbing different things, the problem with block pushing puzzles is even after you figure it out there is still a lot of long block pushing and the controls don't help you any. You find yourself turning your brain off and mindlessly pushing blocks from point A to point B. And climbing obstacles made me feel I was playing a knock of prince of persia. There is good news, the original and always has been voice actor for George still remains even though I don't think any others did even with all the reoccurring characters. There were many references to the first game but not enough to spoil this if you never played the first. And the humor remained intact. The plot was alright it left me wanting for more, especially after a ton of mindless block pushing. One reoccurring character I didn't really care for however they after a masterful execution of a near end cut scene I thought he was great. All of this I thought the game was going alright and then comes the end I will not spoil, but the cut scene when you reach the end is really poor and extremely cheesy and then when I thought it couldn't get much worse you find how to end the evil and make the ending even worse. Then when you save the day the actual ending cut scene has a funny end but still left you disappointed. All in all it was an alright game, just bad for a broken sword game. I think I would have liked it much better if they could have pulled off making it a different series.

fairly enjoyable 9+ hours
The Sleeping Dragon is a good paced puzzle solving adventure game with some flaws and many plus's, but the thing that kept suprising me is the that it didnt end just yet. every time you think you got to the final scene, there is another one. recomended

Laziest effort at an adventure game ever
I certainly enjoyed the change from the 2D P&C environment to the button control 3D graphics. That in itself however is a negative in one sense. That being that if the design of the gameplay had been approached with even half the thinking of the first two game's then it would have been the perfect complete game. Firstly the solutions to 90% of the physical puzzles are immediately apparent and mostly involve moving boxs around. Rather than being challenging they merely take time to complete giving length to the game. The other 10% take very little working out to solve, and I'm by no means a whizz when it comes to puzzle solving. The mysteries in the game pretty much solve themselves simply by talking to people over and over again so that you feel you're being led through the game rather than being challenged. Much of the first half of the game is taken up by cut scenes to beat the band so that you feel you're watching a cartoon rather than playing a game. All in all a very poor effort.
