Lets put in a proper review shall we?

First a bit of history: Blazblue is of the creators of Guilty Gear and you notice that as soon as you hit the introduction with quality music, art and animation. However its curse on the PC is that the game was rather hard to actually get in most countries, in my situation we had to order this game from a obscure shop somewhere in Sweden to even get it and i wouldnt be suprised that this caused the bad sales of this version. ( Also that it had Games for windows live for m-player, but thats void for this review ) However, now on to the gameplay: The gameplay is from the first release version of calamity trigger, so you will notice a lot of imbalance between the characters and you will notice the outdated-ness of it all...IF you played it on console, the PC version is very much playable and easy to get into and it runs well on most machines. If anything its a enjoyable fighter with a lot of fun characters to play and it have a WICKED soundtrack. If you dont enjoy this game for the 10$ i would say the soundtrack is and depending on where you are in the world this is most likely cheaper than Metallicas latest albums. TL;DR: +Fun gameplay that works for the PC +Wicked Music +A weird storymode in true fighting game fashion +Well animated and great art -Its a PC port -It used to be Games for windows live, so i have no idea how they sorted m-player if any.

Awesome 2D Fighter: + Fast pace + Really nice 2D sprites + Awesome combat system + Kick-ass fast paced heavy metal BGM + Interesting in-game characters All in all great 2D fighter, we need more of them on PC!

Simple Fix for an Awesome Game

I found the install and downloade quickly finished but then played very slowly on my machine. Had to work out how to view it in 1080P (select Windowed and then you can set the resolution). Still totally unplayable as it was too slow until I did one thing. >Add BBCT.exe to the Data Execution Prevention < You may have to restart after choosing to "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" just to add the executable. Once done however, the game is lighting fast and reduced frames are now full 60FPS. As for the game...it's the first...so play it...learn all the characters...glory in the beautiful artwork, movies story mode etc. There are 3 more games in the series I believe and I hope all of them come to GOG. A lot of content and gameplay for just a few dollars. Thanks GOG!

A great game I could not play at all

I played this game with friends on the PS3, and I can tell you that the game is awesome. The port however has some downsides, and in some special cases (as it happened to me) the game fails to launch or stops working before even starting to load, but it is worth the risk, I just hope they fix that issue in a future update. For now I would recomend buying the game when there is a discount or when you have spare money. If you like 2D fighters, specially Guilty Gear, I highly recomend this game, just be careful with the previously mentioned issue.

Have a blazt with your pals!

I'm a real amateur in fighting games genre, but occasionally I like to play them with my friends. After playing Blazblue for a couple of hours with my friend I have to say it's super fun. Downside is that the game is truly difficult (and the pace is really fast) and the controller support is crappy (but xbox controller emulator saves the day as always). And the graphics are somewhat dated (but I very much like the artistic style) and there's no proper support for better graphics options for pc. You can still have Full HD resolution of course and have some basic anti-aliasing, plus tune some minor stuff like bloom. But altogether it's very limited and it's not that great pc port. However playing the game is just so much fun that I want to forgive all those little shortcomings I mentioned before. There are only 12 characters playable, but they are really unique and different from one another. I'll admit I haven't played this game a lot yet, but so far it definitely seems to be worth its prize. But you need to have a buddy to play this game with, I can't see how it could be entertaining to play this kind of game alone for any longer than to finish the story mode perhaps. And you MUST have a controller to enjoy this game, but it's basically the same with all fighting games. It's fast, entertaining and great fun. Pick it up and have a blazt! :)
