A must-have for your games collection!

These games are very enjoyable now that the original DRM they shipped with has been stripped out (I had the originals, too, so I know what a pain they have been to configure and play on successive, better versions of Windows because of that awful original DRM scheme!) The 4k res is exactly what I thought it would be and on my Win10x64 system with an AMD Ryzen R5 1600 @ 3.8Ghz, and AMD 590 8GB, 16GB of DDR4 system ram @ 3200MHz, the game is as smooth as butter and plays very consistently--no problems with sound or frame-rate issues. Don't know why others report having problems, except to say that in the forum I read a post or two explaining that the GOG versions were newer than the Steam versions, apparently. @ $4.99 EA on sale, including the original versions as well, to be added at a later date at no charge, purchasing these games is a no-brainer.

Very continuist? Nice!

Bioshock 2 is more of the same as its first delivery, although with a very interesting new story and with small changes in the gameplay that make it more varied and fun. If you already liked Bioshock 1 a lot, this will not disappoint you at all. We put ourselves in the skin of "Subject Delta", known as the first Big Daddie of Rapture. This time we have a simple mission: to save a girl who recognizes us as our father, while we try to find out what is happening in Raputre. Keeping in mind that all this is a prequel to the first game. The gameplay and the objectives are identical to Bioshock 1 but with slight improvements. We have to collect ADAM from the Little Sisters and finish with the Big Daddies that protect them. But this time, once we have them, we will have to protect them while collecting ADAM from the corpses. Something similar to what was done by the end of the first Bioshock, only that here the bodies will be distributed in different areas of the levels. This I loved because it gives a more strategic and defensive Bioshock because we must learn to set traps and take better advantage of the environment. Not only you have to kill enemies, but also protect the Little Sisters and there will be a moment that if we do not have the terrain full of turrets, bots and cyclone traps, it will be impossible for us to survive and we will have to start collecting ADAM with less resources. Playing on hard difficulty is a satisfying challenge. I love it. Beyond this, we have the same Rapture with new enemies, new weapons, new plasmids and a new drill that we will have to recharge with fuel to use it, which makes it more limited, but also more powerful. As I said before, who liked the first part, I recommend it 100%. Very good game and very good singleplayer shooter with lots of action, exploration and fun in all aspects. Amazing story

Game chrashed few times at specific locations, considering chrashes, I am giving this game 5/5 because of amazing story. Base game felt incomplete because I didnt know what complete story of specific character, but after completing Minervas Den its amazing.

Constant crashing (BioShock 2 original)

It's understandable when a game this old will crash on modern software and hardware but to the point where once I get 10 hours into the game and all it does is crash every 10 minutes without any reason is annoying. I avoided all of the big no-nos when it comes to old games, no ALT+Tab and no strange resolutions. I've crashed more today playing BioShock 2 than the entirety of BioShock 1. These crashes didn't happen in high intensity situations that are performance hogs it just happens on interacting with certain things such as rescuing a little sister, entering an area, attacking a big daddy and the game autosaving (noticed this when I restarted the game and was placed right where I had crashed once). Usually I'm put back to my last manual save that was 20 to 30 minutes ago. Oh and quick saving crashes the game too.

Good game but a bit broken

The rating is for the game if it wasn't busted. It's a fun game but not much separates it from the first. I actually got all the way to the end without any crashes but once I saved the last sister it turned into a total crashfest. Very intermittent. I could get temporary relief by hitting escape when loading in. For some reason this seemed to delay the crash but even then I would be lucky to get more than a minute of play. Tried all the INI memory setting changes suggested online but the only thing that prevented crashes was setting graphics to low. I was able to finish the game but it looked like potato quality....
