Turn-based... and not up to date
Well, I bought this game during the insomnia sale after looking at the video and the screenshots. It was a rushed decision given the nature of the sale, and it was a wrong one. I probably should have read the entire description, then I would have known that this game is turn-based. I expected it to be more like Command & Conquer. After trying it out quickly, I was quite disappointed. It's like you're playing a board game, but it's about life and death (of your units of course). It takes forever to play this game, your moves are very slow and the controls do not feel very intuitive for a newcomer. Anyway, what I find even more disappointing is the fact that this game uses a launcher that gets updates for you. I don't know where they come from, and I don't know where they are saved. It seems to overwrite the installed files - GOG does not have the latest version, and the game seems to download quite a lot of data... Not sure if one can play the latest version once the company behind it files bankruptcy. Honestly, this game is quite expensive and does not live up to its price. There's far better things to get on GOG. What I like about it is how you can adjust the resolution of the game and the GUI elements independently. But other games get it right automatically...
