Not much to say that hasn't been said better by others. Yeah there are a bunch of small bugs and some annoying mechanical decision but that can't compare to sheer scope and depth of the game - everything I hoped for more.
The best rpg I have ever played. This is up there with the Witcher 3 and Skyrim. As a matter of personal preference, I would put this game at the top. It's open world in a similar way to the Witcher. The depth of the world and the dynamics of the combat system are better than Skyrim. It is turn-based which I know a lot of people don't like, but that shouldn't stop you from trying this game.
This game is just unbelievably rich, and immersive. It also shines with its scale of variety. Sometimes I even felt a bit overwhelmed by all the stories and possibilities. Frankly, it could be a bit shorter. Nevertheless, it's a powerful 5/5.
Baldur's Gate 3 is the first game in a VERY long time where I am genuinely excited and eagerly anticipate the game being finished. Played tabletop AD&D when I was in my teens, over two decades ago as well as being amongst the generation that saw the beginning of video gaming and through all of it's evolutions to this point today from arcades to consoles to pc's and then to MMO's and just about everything in between. I stopped gaming years back when I finally broke myself away from MMO gaming because it was all just getting boring and stale. I've tried pushing myself to play random games here or there to no success until however it was I found myself checking some youtubers doing walkthroughs and the game caught my attention but told myself I'd hold off until a final product....well...I buckled and bought the game. Subsequently I've played through Early Access entirely 3 times, once at purchase, another after patch 4 and then finally within this latest 6th patch. I've seen the potential for what has thus far from other games been false advertisements for claiming choice consequence and this is dynamic or that is dynamic, blah blah blah. None of them truly fit the claim. Baldur's Gate 3 is so far 1 (growing) act and is limited in it's Early Access form to only the content within that first act. I spent 60 dollars on it and have also bought two more copies for friends who I assumed would Enjoy it as well. Think...I've enjoyed a restricted copy of an unfinished form of what this game will become so much I've basically spent 180 dollars plus whatever taxes. Money was slightly better but my financial situation is...lacking....end of the month eating maybe once a day so Im not rich or well off at all. If you enjoy RPG's, the D&D universe, you'd do yourself a favor by getting this game. KEEP IN MIND it IS still being completed and is in Early Access....don't be like some idiot expecting more than what it is. Save that expectation for the end result. it won't let you down!
