Welcome to the decade where everything is hyperbolic. Movie, game, song - doesn't matter what - it's either a masterpiece or worthless trash.
BG3 has: Repetitive and boring combat that feels like full time job after 5 encounters. Loot system that turns you into a hoarder. Predictable characters with unrealistic attitude written all over them. Story that makes me wonder why anyone would want to go through this game again. So what is good about it ? It's actual real RPG based on 5E of D&D.
I am convinced that someone should write scientific paper explaining phenomenon why this particular game got such a snowball effect of positivity. Larian previous game Divine Divinity 2 is basicaly a twin sister of BG3 and mainstream gamers didn't cared about that game at all. It's a freaking mystery to solve.
Baldurs Gate 3. Average game that got lucky.
It's a great RPG, too easy though, have to get mods but that's not a good as a good balancing by the devs. Also, great voice acting and animations. However, the characters seem to be uglified and there's some woke nonsense and designs that doesn't fit in a magical fantasy world.
The story telling: SUPERB
The drama: SUPERB
The characterizations: SUPERB
The voice acting: SUPERB
The graphics: SUPERB even to the point of being stunningly beautiful at times.
The music: EXCELLENT
The game play is difficult at times but it is not quite what i am used to and in my old age ( i am 66) new things do take some getting used to.
However it is well worth the perseverance
Overall this is one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.
I count myself privileged to be able to play such a masterpiece of a game game as this.
My only regret is that i waited so long to do the hardware upgrade necessary in order to play game
thank you

This game just keeps getting better. Even after all this time of being out, they have kept updating it. Buy it once, and get at least 3 DLCs worth of content, and a game that encourages modding in a cross-platform environment!
This game shows that at least one developer still remembers the good old days when games were launced completed and didn't try to milk you with micro-transactions.
