Remember that movie where the bad guy won and half of the universe died from some dude snapping his fingers and killing all creativity so they had to make another one where they went back in time to save everything?
That what Larian has done.
Beautiful, Immersive and connected World, with Characters that grow on and with you. A Story with nice voiceacting and plenty of Dialog Options, letting you play your very own version of the story. I made more meaningful decisions in this game than in all others I've played so far combined. It is a true RPG.
The only thing that could be better is the combat. I hate percentage/probability based combat. Either I one hit an enemy, or miss entirely, and so does my enemy.
I've played a couple of hours when I bought the early access game and it was promising. Engaging story, complex mechanics to be explored, new additions comming up. This was in 2020, mind you, and all of us paid the full price for the game.
It's 2022 now and still no perspectives on seeing the game in full. Two years and there's still no possibility to honestly rate the game in its entirety. I've experienced full spectrum of emotions towards the developers, from anger, to bargaining, to sadness. Now I'm cynically disappointed, and not even waiting for the full game.
Two years. Full price. Being a beta tester and paying for it? Shame on you, Larian.
I dont realy understand peoples who says too much Divinity and less BG. I dont care, im sorry for that, but its no other game since Dragon Age Origins on this high level of cinematic, interaction, gameplay, story, feeling of adventure and atmosphere. I buy realy rarely games, because to be honestly there is extremly many games that are made for inverstors or for quick profit. BG3 is one of those games that are made for gamers. It worth every single euro that i spent for this game. I hope they will do an Addon or DLC. Just wow, i tought i will never play a good RPG again, Thank you Larian!
