Idc what anyone says. This game is awesome! we finally are getting a good D&D video game, we haven't had one in years. The last one had a chance but it flopped hard, this one is where it's at. It's not finished mind you so anyone saying it's not attached to the other titles... well they're wrong and they either haven't played it or are judging the entire game off of a small portion of it (Read the pinned FAQ post about what BG3 is for one and it'll answer your question.) This is a new story but if you've played the other games you'll connect a lot of dots but you don't need to have played the first 2 games. This IS the D&D 5e game we've needed bad. Too antisocial to play with people? Don't have enough time to sit down at a table? Get this game. It's great, the character creator is nice, the gameplay is as smooth as it can get to making a pnp game into a video game, and the graphics are simply gorgeous! You could easily lose 30+ hours just in what we have now and that depends on how you play. If you're a real D&D 5e player you're going to find yourself losing a lot more time in this game. Great job Larian, I cant wait to watch this game grow.

I really like this game so far, really dig Lae'zel and her meanery Combat flows nice I think and interactions with companions are interesting. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is cause I cant get Sazza as a companion or camper lol She best gobbo!!!!!

I'm not sure what standards people here have but, this game should never be belove 4, objectively speaking. Grate game, play the way you want it.

I was affraid of the final result, and all the hype around it (generaly it mean "not so good" lol). The game was already good in early access (on another account), and i was expecting a lot from this game... And when the game reached day 1, i had even more :) -Good story -Modern gaming with classic D&D tactic and way to play (i love the dice) -NO MICRO TRANSACTION that polute modern gaming: a big hug to Larian -Vulcan version (usefull when full AMD) -And lot of fun exploring, doing side quest and try new path going back to earlier saved game. This game is gold (and we forget the few bug at the lauch as you patch them really fast)

Essentially an improvement on DoS & DoS 2; it's D&D 5e type rules, with a classic story in the same setting but with an almost XCOM-like interface. If you want a good D&D story and like turn-based strategy combat, then this is a great game. The character writing in the theme of high fantasy is done really well; individuals tend to have depth and motivations that are consistent, etc.
