I also played other great RPGs like Dragons Age, but this one really deserves best Game so far for me. It is not for everybody, but if you want a game with unparalleled freedom and meaningful decisions and you do not flinch from turn based combat, than you should try this game. The atmosphere of this game is supported by a great cast of voice actors which also have all their movements recorded, so you can immerse yourself even into the feelings of your companions and a huge world of fantasy and magic. There are so many possibilities and options you can chose from and the quests are so rich, that the replay-ability is really great. I already finished the game once and have started multiple other playthrews, because I wanted to see how the other character builds are working. Larian also brought huge updates with additional content after launch, so they really care about the game. If you care about RPG and you don't flinch from turn based you should play this game and not miss out on this piece of art!

Hey you! Yes, you. Are you usually cautious about games that seem to be overly popular? Do you often get disappointed if you permit yourself to get hyped about anything? Did you already come to terms with the fact that you're never gonna play an RPG again that's not a hack n slash, actual shooter or a clunky nostalgia tribute? Forget all that. Get Baldur's Gate 3. It is one of the most come-to-live and immersive RPG experiences that you will ever play, and it's both beautiful and mechanically sound. There is this taste of freedom to experiment and explore that we so often miss. As with any game you'll be able to find downsides to it, but in my book BG3 is one of the few games that do deserve to be called a 5 star game. Though, one thing's for sure: If I'll ever have to see a mind flayer or githyanki again after BG3, I shall yawn myself to death. I don't need any more of those ever again.

However, GOG decided to beg me for a review, so it gets 1-star. Maybe don't come whining at me like an insecure teenager.

I played 60 hours in the first week and loved every minute of it. The world is beautiful, the character models are stunning. The story doesn't have the DOS jokey vibe. It's dark and adult oriented. The combat is refreshing. I know it's EA but i can't wait to get more content. People are complaining of crashes but in 60 hours i might have crashed 4-5 times. So really depends on your setup. I streamed about 55 hours of this. I don't think i have seen a better Early Access game. Not sure why people are complaining. The game will likely release in 2022. Best bang for your buck in 2020-2021-2022.

This game has set a new gold standard in RPGs. Ignore all the negative reviews from early access (esp.2020 and 2021). This game is already changing the industry for the better. It's excellent in all facets.
