I honestly enjoy this alot, if you like Larions previous games (The Divinity Series) and also like D&D I can honestly recommend this. Though so be aware that the game is still in EA and is currently unfinished. So if you're looking for the complete game, I would suggest coming back at a later date.
This is the best RPG I played in a long time, since NWN to be precise. The world, the character design, the quests, it is all done so well, so immersive. I made two runs (one "good", one "evil") and it was so wonderful to see choices finally matter again... e. g. really be "evil", not just very rude. Approaching quests differently, opening and blocking paths depending on your decisions. Just what I waited for all the years. Sure, the are a few things to criticize, a game this big and comlex doesn't come without bugs and a few dev choices here and there not working out for everyone all the time. But I couldn't be more satisfied and look forward to the next playthrough.
New to this genre, but this game was just so incredible I find it hard to play other games now. Definite GOTY and maybe even the best game I have ever played. It isn't a fast paced combat game, but one with more strategy and based around the narrative experience. The possibilities are endless, but my first playthrough was just so amazing I find it hard to do another because it just cannot match up to the magic of my primary run. 10/10 would rec this game. put in over 100 hours to finish my first playthrough
There's a damn good reason this game has won so many GOTY titles and received so many accolades. The character creator and classes bring enough variety to the game to make multiple play-throughs viable.
The sheer choices and options to approach any given scenario during the story makes for so many amazing and creative ways to proceed that sometimes I found myself reloading a save just to try out something different only to be blown away that my idea worked.
Possibly one of the best games I've ever played!
