Runs terribly
I have a ryzen 2600 and a vega 64 nitro+ the game stutters constantly. other than that i like it because of nostalgia but i can't really play it because of its performance

Okay Game
This Asterix and Obelix Game has nice Game references, but the combat is after some hours boring. You get some skills you can buy with the roman helmets, but nothing really game changing. It's a Jump and Run Brawler, where some low base puzzle games needed to be solved. It is not the best game I ever played, and I wouldn't recommend it to someone else. At the end it will be a little frustrating and monotonous. The game stutters sometimes, but could be a issue because it is not optimized on newer hardware.

Good game, but really expensive
It's a really fun game, I played it a lot when I was a kid, but almost 30€ is way too much for such an old game. I'd buy it again, but only if it was more reasonably priced at less than 10€.

A cult classic from my childhood!
Whilst heavily overpriced on release, I am still greatfull that they did it. The disc version simply doesn't work anymore, and this one is very well polished. I encountered no bugs or crashes wilst playing the game. I would even argue that this game is far superior to the first one in the series. Everything is a step up, be it gameplay, visuals, enemy types, length of the game, just everything. I think most people are a bit put of by the style, since it isn't exactly canon to the comics, which is a very big deal for Asterix fans, but once you accept that this game tries to take the mick out of the genre at the time with enemy types resembling popular characters like Mario or Sonic, you're good to go. They just took the source material as a focus point, but made sure that they had a great game before anything, and I appreciate that. Recommended to all you silly Romans out there!

Great game, bad port
Game I may be biased because I played this on ps2 in my childhood, but I believe it is an excellent game. It is funny, it has many interesting easter eggs, its gameplay is superb and super satisfying. I always enjoyed playing and still do. Port That being said, the specific port is making it difficult for me to fully enjoy. First of all, it seems to be riddled with bugs. For me at least. I could not get the game to work properly as-is, as I had two issues. First, an issue with very small frame rates, which, if you check the forum page, is experienced by many others. It has a known fix, but still. The second issue was even more cryptic (and mildly amusing, as a matter of fact). All movement buttons were not working, for example the jump button. It did not work as-is. It did not work if remapped. It DID work as a menu button; but not in the actual game. The solution to this I found from a thread in the Steam forum of the game, and it was, to my amusement, to install a Japanese keyboard and change to this when I want to play the game. Pretty major inconveniences, if you ask me. But even having surpassed those, I feel the game is lacking to its predecessor. They have added collectibles, fast travel and other shiny stuff, but I think the feel of the game has been lost a bit. From some animations that were cut (the animation with the flames when you hit romans repeatedly is the most annoying loss for me), to changes in the HUD icons I did not like, to the fact that you cannot have different saves, I think the developer should have put more effort in retaining what made the game so enjoyable, and perhaps added in a few quality-of-life new things, rather than simply adding stuff that are standard in many games nowadays (e.g. collectibles). All in all, still an enjoyable game, but I very much prefer the original over the port, I think the difference in quality is apparent.
