Excellent game, poor optimization.
The game itself has excellent visuals, music and the gameplay is very fun. It is just baffling that I can run Elden Ring on Max graphics with a more stable frame rate than this game.

Good game
Very good game. Cars handles well, tracks are well composed and music is cool. Good graphics too. I play with xbox controller, I would like to use wheel. But no force feedback on that, so I stay with controller.

Promising, a few things to iron out
I really enjoy this game, you start playing for "5 minutes" and -boom- you find yourself grinding stages over and over again. Performancewise...it doesn't run great. Framedrops are very noticeable and annoying, though some maps seem to be worse that others. On the other hand, in the right lighting, the game can look absolutely stunning, despite the seemingly simple graphics. The driving part to me feels like 90% there, but: - At some places, especially in the faster classes, some sort of pacenotes would be immensely helpful!! Devs, pretty please? - The car isn't always predictable, particularly while sliding and after jumps, where the car might suddenly spear off to one side as it lands. I know, a car will absolutely do that if you land at an angle, but correcting that with a wheel is a lot easier than with a controller. - If you hit a puddle in a slide, not only do you not slow down, which would be the normal reaction, the car seems to gain speed. Same with some 4-wheel slides, it sometimes just feels like the car decides on the fly what is recoverable and what isn't. Other than that, it's a brilliant game, and a wonderful loveletter to the definitive best era of Rally racing :D

Joy of Rally
The perfect little rally game. To me the only flaw of the game is that it doesn't have a native feature of saving replays.
