Ultra linear piece of shit

This game is just a corridor shooter with a semi-decent story. If you like stories, read any book instead. If you like shooters you already know a few good titles - any of them is much better than this. Considering the original idea, this game could have been great. I waited this game for PC for years. My heart aches as I admit that Alan Wakes sucks. The production team took the easy route and this is what we have now. I do not recommend Alan Wake to anyone.

Such a deal!

Eight gigabytes worth of bandwidth charges, minus $15 because GoG.com is a charitable institution, equals -- you what? "Half" price, plus... the "tragedy of the commons" non-cost? Who in the world gets 8 Gb of download giveaway for free? I'm envious. CD Projekt, please ease off a little. You're embarrassing yourselves. Also, you're not alone in the DRM-free market. Google yourselves if you don't believe it.

a two-hour movie while drunk

Very tense atmosphere, but the controls are terrible. Alan moves like a drunk, there is significant lag when firing a weapon... Nah. I'll skip reloading 200 times, thanks. Don't forget to feel bad if you only manage to collect 98 out of 100 coffee thermoses!

Awful Game

This game is simply awful, the game play is boring and repetitive, the world although nicely drawn in some areas is so limited in terms of exploration. The story although well acted is the most predictable piece of garbage I actually guessed every event in the story before I'd even started playing the section that led upto it, I'd already figured out exactly how it was going to end half way through the game, I played it the end just to see if I was right... Guess what? so many cliché's it's embarrassing. One of the worst AAA games in recent history.
