Against the Storm is an engrossing and fun game. Its focus is on moment-to-moment settlement management but with a ton of gameplay ideas that make each new expedition feel unique. I love the unpredictable nature of the glades as well as the many ways to interact with the Queen’s requests and the dangerous ruins.

Atmospheric indepth strategy
It took me 1 hour to understand what I was doing, after that: totally hooked. great atmosphere. The roguelite map development and increasing difficulty makes it a challenge the longer you play. The randomness of the buildings also helps in varying the gameplay.

Great fantasy city builder
A fun fantasy city builder with relatively short and varied levels and fun gameplay loops. The random aspects can be frustrating as it makes it difficult to plan ahead, but that's part of the challenge.
