We believe that people are the foundations of what GOG.com is. We’re looking for a passionate technology leader who will take the responsibility for standards & technology stack used by 20+ rockstars divided into cross-functional product engineering teams.

  • • Worked with CD Projekt RED on their projects.
  • • Petabytes of data transferred over network every month.
  • • Thousands of servers that we run our code on.
  • • Hundreds of thousands of metrics collected.
  • • Used all the DDs you have (BDD, TDD, DDD).
  • • Divided by 0 on production.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating vision for WEB team’s technology for the upcoming years.
  • Building software solutions according to software engineering design best practices using approaches that allow incremental continuous improvement.
  • Owning team’s technology stack.
  • Establishing processes that balances tech stack standardization and team’s autonomy.
  • Project consulting in the context of technology.
  • Responsibility for the entire delivery pipeline (from dev to production environment).
  • Organising knowledge sharing.
  • Sharing your knowledge with other team members and supporting them in solving complex challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development in a senior positions.
  • Hands-on experience with microservice architecture, projects scalability and performance tuning of web applications (caching, load balancing, CDNs, database optimisations).
  • Ability to easily communicate in English.
  • An overwhelming desire to code the best web services on the Internet.

Pluses:

  • Strong understanding of best security practices.
  • Experience with work in an agile environment.
  • Experience with TDD, BDD, DDD, Event sourcing.
  • Passion for gaming, game services, and online communities.
