Nip google Captcha in the bud
Get rid of it. Can't redeem any codes on GOG anymore on win xp mypal browser
I just bought CP2077. No game discs inside, won't let me redeem my code even after allowing re-captcha ;(
The Google reCAPTCHA is preventing me from redeeming a pre-order key I purchased on GOG's "redeem" page. It also prevented me from contacting tech support about the same problem, since the tech support page was also locked behind the reCAPTCHA.

Use Hcaptcha. It respects users privacy, actually helps people and even pays you.
Or at least figure out some alternative anti-robot scheme that doesn't do favors for Big Data at the expense of your users.

I don't need to solve an annoying captcha to train someone's AI system. It is annoying and we'd be better without it. Same goes for telemetry - I'm looking at you, Galaxy client.

CAPTCHAs are for-profit, unpaid work. I don't recall encountering a CAPTCHA on GOG, but I'll most definitely oppose anything CAPTCHA.
Been locked out of GOG Galaxy for a good 6+ hours now because of reCAPTCHA thinking I'm a bot after failing so many blatantly correct ones. I skip the traffic light because it's too ambiguous as to whether they mean including the pole or not, but literally no buses left, found all the bikes, all the store fronts, heck I even had a fire hydrant one which they're almost all the same shape and color so failing that would have been crazy... nope, it still thought I failed it... <br /> <br /> Google literally has a "no user friction" version of reCAPTCHA. If you seriously think it's necessary, please implement reCAPTCHA v3 so we can have the 1 click captchas without the broken image guessing games. <a href="https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/v3" class="light_un" target="_blank">https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/v3</a>
Fucking numerous ridiculously ambiguous imagines of intersections asking me to select the traffic lights just so I can log into galaxy. The barely visible traffic light the would need to to click most of the boxes ? or how about the 5 images of a bus that weren't a bus or being ask to select a "motorcycle" when there is only a tiny corner box of a moped? <br /> <br /> Get fucked GOG never downloading galaxy again until its fixed.
I think one or two screens of clicking on street lights and fire hydrants is more than enough, and after 4+ I just uninstalled the client. We're customers of yours, not free labor for Google/Waymo.
This is a terrible feature that adds significant friction both when trying to purchase from you and when trying to log into your desktop client to play. You, GOG, have no control over the amount of friction - I just gave up trying to log in to GOG Galaxy and am DLing all my purchases offline, because I *literally couldnt log in*. I just had to do an apparently endless (screen after screen after screen) of image classification for google. You've lost a user of your client over this (this point of the client from our perspective is that it's easier to play games, not harder) and the next time that I can't log in to make a purchase then you'll have lost a customer too. Bizarre that you would cede control over such an important part of the user experience to google, who has no investment in your users or incentive to balance their priorities (prevent robots gaining access through RECAPTCHA while enjoying plenty of free labour) with yours (don't ask your customers to do a stupid and frustrating thing with no time limit). You're letting google bounce a lot of legitimate customers with no benefit to you.

Not just captcha, please remove all of their (and other) scripts from companies known to collect personal data without explicit consent from people and the without the ability to revoke your consent at any time and/if and when you do that delete all of the data collected including backups. Technically this is not a problem. If the data is encrypted with a unique key for each user deleting that key effectively deletes the data (assuming the keys aren't generated in way that isn't close enough to random, that they are long enough that they can't be brute forced and that the algorithm used or the specific implementation aren't flawed). Th In addition to what they say they do they also spy on users. <br /> <br /> Also by solving reCaptcha you are training Google's AI so they can spy on you even better.

I don't like google captcha. It is the most frustrating and customer unfriendly tool in the entire world. Please remove this and add your own <a href="http://gog.com" class="light_un" target="_blank">gog.com</a> made captcha. google treats everyone sort of like EA in my opinion. (not very nice)
No site should require consent to third party policies (privacy or otherwise) for basic functions to be accessed.
Spent 9 minutes getting through clicking pictures to log into my account MONTHS ago. Like really now... Get rid of this captcha crap on my game site.
Just tried to raise a support ticket and the support page now requires a Google CAPTCHA! To make things worse, if your ticket has to be edited (e.g. to include more data) then the CAPTCHA has to be re-taken. <br /> If there is one thing that shows contempt for customers, it is adding extra artificial hoops to jump through when they wish to report a legitimate problem.
We are unknowingly training Google's AI to be a skynet and this is not fine. Google has been really invasive recently and WE are used as a product, we need to stop letting google grab all the power from the internet.
I always have to do 4 or 5 of these things because I keep failing them.
I confess: I never succeded in solving the street signs captcha. It should be the easiest but somehow it never works for me...
I'm tired of selecting cars and street signs. Please ease our pain!
Please remove that sh** from your website, there are some implementations in php that are actually easy to do and not too resource hungry
Get rid of Google's recaptchas, GOG. Not only is it incredibly annoying, it also takes advantage of internet users to help Google teach their AI how to recognize pictures better, without their consent, of course. This is borderline slave labour. <br /> <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/captcha-if-you-can-how-youve-been-training-ai-for-years-without-realising-it" class="light_un" target="_blank"><br /> https://www.techradar.com/news/captcha-if-you-can-how-youve-been-training-ai-for-years-without-realising-it</a>
PLEASE axe Google captchas completely from your website, otherwise I'm not going to support GOG. <br /> <br /> Google farms out its image recognition work to unpaid workers (us) in order to train it's AI and then sell it to the military industrial complex for use in drones. Several Google employees resigned from the company after this was discovered as this clearly violated Google's own "don't be evil" mantra, something they've since gotten rid of. <br /> <br /> Not even my banking websites require Google captchas as there are many other ways to secure a website, ones that are way easier and not intrusive. <br /> <br /> Do NOT help Google train their AI and do NOT support drone strikes. Get rid of your Google captchas!
