Yes, I know, there is that 'Hide' option.
But I really just would like them to be gone completely, for one reason or another.
avigor I would add to this that the hide owned should hide demos (honestly not sure if it does offhand I came into wishlists today for something else)
Magister_Gabriel There's no reason for why we shouldn't be allowed to remove a demo from our library. End-user friendly software is not a bad thing.
aisskeit I think there is not just need a button that can delete demos. I added some free games to library that I did not like by mistake, so I am look forward to GOG add a feature that allow us to delete games form the library, not just hide them. I need a real delete.
Fuguss As an extension to this, allow us to be able to filter out demos and prologues and stuff like that from the sales pages when we are looking for what to buy.
Fuguss This is one of those things that shouldn't be an issue.
When it comes to Demos, they shouldn't be able to be added to your library to begin with. They should just be an option to download but never gets added.
kabamaru_ They should really stop adding demos to a users library, plain and simple. Just have a simple "Download Demo" button, like Steam does. You download the thing, you play it, uninstall it, it's gone. How complicated is that?

Tygerboi A simple way to permanently remove demos from your account should surely be an easy thing to implement? If the demo is still available in the store then a customer accidentally deleting a demo wouldn't generate unnecessary support tickets, as it can just be downloaded again. If the demo is no longer available, then a warning message should be displayed to this effect, prior to a warning message in either circumstance that warns the user that all gamesaves and local data will also be deleted during the uninstall process, along with any history of the demo in their account.

A idea I have is that when you buy the full game, the demo verison automatically gets deleted as there would be no point in having the demo
chalice Hide is NOT enough, Demo of Games I own and Demos of Games I tried and won't touch again are hoggin space and attention. Hiding is a necesssary first step, but no solution.

Pediamonkey I agree, a demo mustn't be a burden. Trial versions shouldn't be permanent but should be removable instead. Maybe automatically remove themselves when the full game is purchased?
Catventurer Hiding is not the same as removing, and people download demos before purchasing because they're not sure about the full game... such as will this game run on my laptop with its integrated graphics video card.
If it doesn't work, I don't want the demo sitting there in my purchase history as a constant reminder of a game I cannot play. If it does work, I'm going to want to replace it with the actual game thus won't need the demo.
Alternately give demos their own separate page in the purchase history.
AWG43 It's clearly not a question about removing something from ownership, but it would be a good feature to sub out of a trial version of the game.
Rakemon Related: Please let us exclude demos when searching for free games. In "Hide", there's already a "DLC" option, just add one for "Demo" as well.

Voorok Hiding seems good enough to me. Don't know how complicated the ability to outright remove something from ownership would be.

CLBrown Yep. I did a "demo" version of a game, then bought the full game as a result of playing that demo. And the demo version remains in my account, without me being able to remove it... AT ALL.
I actually asked GoG to remove that demo, a while back. They ended up removing my PAID VERSION instead, and leaving the demo in place. I eventually got that sorted out, but the demo remains in my account to this day. (sigh)
I also have a copy of "Witcher III" which, to this day, shows up in my "library" but never shows up as "owned" in my searches.
