One of the worst problems my girlfriend and I have with GOG is that downloads are frequently corrupted. Her Internet connection is not great, and I often have trouble with the GOG downloader, which can misbehave with partial files or files which have already been downloaded, silently corrupting perfectly good data.

Having a BitTorrent-based download option (and, presumably, making BT the underpinning of the downloader) would eliminate any possibility of corruption since BT has built-in integrity checks.

Humble offers BitTorrent downloads, and I know that user-specific keys can be used as signatures in torrent-files to discourage abuse.

This would also make it feasible to allow us to keep an entire replica of our library local.

Good idea, not to mention that for huge games/popular releases like Witcher 3 would benefit, as well as game patch distribution. Battle.net does something similar.
