Bavarian I think the General discussion forum needs to be split up into several divisions. I'm not asking for bazillions of sub-categories but for some kind of reasonable segmentation. At least gaming related topics should be seperated from everyday real life stuff (like politics, society, sports), community issues (like giveaways, requests, advices) and spam/philosophy/whatever. Of course there should still be the possibility to show all these threads in one row if you wish, like it's now when you visit General discussions, but for reasons of clarity I'd prefer a more divided structure.
Time4Tea +1. An 'off-topic' sub-forum is badly needed, as well as ones that are specifically about the site and video games in general. Also, it would be good to see game-specific forums organized better, e.g. by genre.
Sdfghj We really need a sub forum to discuss Video games. The General Forum is convoluted with non-gaming related things!

ZivilSword I made a dedicated thread to this: www.gog.com/forum/general/we_need_a_better_structured_forum – I suggested splitting into four specific forums, based on a one-day statistic.
ZivilSword We can argue how wide the general forum has to be split, but in my opinion the three categories suggested by Bavarian are sufficient: one for gaming related stuff like general questions (e.g. “What do you like in turn-based games?”), discussion, information lists. Then another one for giveaways (see also the wish www.gog.com/wishlist/site/giveaway_subforum ), which already take 30 to 50% of all topics. And the third is for all miscellaneous topics like “I’m getting married” or “Need advice on buying a printer”. I don’t think we need to split the last category. These three categories would already be a good progress in keeping everything clear.
