Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty
what, no dune 2?! gib dune 2 plox
This is the game that started it all. I can't believe it's available.
C'mon man!!!!! 3rd game in a row I've looked for, and it's not here. what a joke.
Please do Dune 2
3 houses have arrived; the noble atreides, the insidious ordos and the evil harkonnem.
I guess it would be the right timing to make it available now
I'd love to play Dune 2 again!
If this game is to be added, it will be up to the late Frank Herbert's family to re-release the rights.
come on already, add this

Looks like a hard no
Gimme!
I love Dune 2, 2000, etc. I really wish I could play them on this computer. I have an older computer that it works on but I really want it on my newer computer. It has plenty of replay value in it.
The best, please, please get this in the catalog. Instant buy.
I want this game. take my money please. Dune 2

Dune II and Dune 2000 pleaseeeee.
This game was marketed under three different titles: 'Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty', 'Dune II: Battle for Arrakis' and 'Dune: The Battle for Arrakis'.

When i was 5-6 this was my favorite game ever. I had a 286 who couldn't run it so i used to go to my neighbour just to see him play. Then we found a version who could run even on my PC and it was the best day of my life up until then

Please GoG this would be amazing, all the Dune games please :)
Come on GOG :)
Voted 2012, still waiting and hoping. :)
It's not so much about EA not liking GOG. EA has plenty old games on GOG. The Westwood stuff though is a bit of a gray area in general and Dune especially, the owners are not keen to see their IP sullied by just anyone. But who knows, I myself hope and pray that Dune II or Dune 2000 gets added soon
Seriously, why the f is this classic game not available? Would buy in a heart beat
strange that this is not on GoG!
Westwood falls under EA now, but the licenses of the Dune-franchise games are quite a mess to untangle, actually.
$$ EA $$ property - no way we would see it. Maybe on origin first.

ANY news on this GOG?
dune 2 is the mother of all real time strategy games. i would buy instantly. dune 2000 and emperor battle for dune would be even greater!
I created a thread over at DuneNovels.com asking the Herbert Properties people to talk to GOG and EA about re-releases - forum.dunenovels.com/viewtopic.php?t=3807
I too would buy Dune II and Dune 2000. Dune, not so much.
I remember this game. I bought it. I actually got it on CD back in the day. It was interesting and I kind of had fun with it. I don't think it had much replay value though.
"The planet Arrakis, known as Dune. Land of sand; home of the Spice Melange. The Spice controls the Empire. Whoever controls Dune controls the Spice."
Epic...
All pre-EA Westwood games need to be here. I'm sure they'd sell great.
He probably doesn't have a floppy drive any more.
What's the problem with the floppies?
Have you tried DOSBox already?
Please add DUNE II, I still got the old 3,5'' Discs, can't use them anymore on Win7 :)
"The planet Arrakis, known as Dune. Land of sand; home of the Spice Melange. The Spice controls the Empire. Whoever controls Dune controls the Spice."
There is something about this quote and how they said it that I still remember it word for word. I'd love to add this to my collection of games on GOG.
My favorite RTS:) Dune 2000 was good too but I actually liked Dune II more... probabyl old memories:)
I still remember one side's final mission requires pure luck, at the beginning of the mission, you have to spread all your buildings and troops as far away as possible and pray no nukes would hit your main base, otherwise it's game over, oh, old memories :)
