Galaxy client now stores its configuration inside /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy
with 777 rwx unix permissions. /Users/Shared in not a good place to store
user-specific data (configuration, cache and perhaps files related to login
session). Even if Galaxy client deletes some critical files on quit, it can
always crash or users sharing on Mac can use fast-user switching feature of OS.
Use ~/Library/Caches, ~/Library/Preferences/, ~/Library/Application Support to
store Galaxy client data.
Consider using user's login.keychain to store login password.

ThainEshKelch Adding files like these in any place other than ~/Library/Application Support/ is pure lazyness from the developers side. Don't do it.
dirtyharry50 Glad to see this as it is the standard way apps for OS X typically (and always) should handle this data.
