I like the FMV style of it, but the rest is a mix of stuff that doesn't stick together well. There are random video clips that don't support the story and aren't funny, object finding that doesn't make sense (freezing gun), puzzles that are a game in the game instead or being part of the game. The dialogue choices are also confusing, often I couldn't tell what Tex was going to say after I picked an option. After a while, I lost interest in playing. For reference, this was my first Tex Murphy game.
I was a bit skeptical when I decided to buy the game but... wow, this is something different. I'm at loss of words... great idea, unique graphics, excellent voice acting, earworm soundtracks, challenging detective work that makes you think. It's a very particular style and I understand not everyone will like it. The ending could have been a bit better IMHO, but other than that, all was great. 9/10 It's mindblowing to think that a single person managed to create this game from start to finish.
