Diablo + Hellfire

One of the first games I owned on a CD

IIRC my first ever CD game that I owned... I remember my uncle bringing this home and telling me he's got a new game for me. I was interested, as it was always great to see new games as a kid. I had no idea how good this game was. The intro cinematic took us both by surprise and we just knew this was a game we would both enjoy. Ended up playing Diablo for many months, mostly Sorcerer and Inferno spell in the end hehe. Kill everything, even stuff behind walls :D I was quite young at the time, but it drew me into the Diablo world and I've loved it ever since. D2 was a worthy successor and LOD improved on everything unimaginably well. D3... another story, but the Diablo world is still one of my favorites. Give this game a try if you never played it. It even has some expansions available, like Hellfire I think. Adds new monsters and items, new Monk class (or something similar, my memory fails me a bit). Perhaps not worth 14$ at this time, but it needs to be in every real gamer's collection.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Rum Runner’s Pack

Guys, really?

What is up with all these babies crying the DLC doesn't work? It works just the same as any other DLC! It's an optional piece which does NOT have to be installed with the game so quit whining! I seriously cannot believe this! I can only imagine how GOG employees feel because something is not automatically installed. Further more, developers who's hard work gets 1 star because of your incompetence! Spoiled to the core.......

Tales of Maj'Eyal

Been putting this off for too long

I bought this game very early on GOG, can't remember, but I think as soon as it appeared, as I like roguelikes, played NetHack a long time ago, old ADOM, POWDER on my Nintendo DS (by ZincLand)... but for some reason I never got into it until recently (work, family and being obsessed with Path of Exile didn't leave much time for other games). However, now that I started playing it and really learning it - I can say it's one of the best games ever made! The style, pace of gameplay, being a real roguelike... it all adds to the overall atmosphere which I simply love! The sheer abundance of Race/Class combinations for one to challenge themselves with is outstanding. Balance is not there, but then again, it's never there in a roguelike, is it? For a game that's actually free, I cannot praise DarkGod and other devs enough. I honestly have to say that my only complaint is probably the fact that it's not built on a faster native framework like SDL/SFML or something. The game is pretty sluggish on older PCs/my MacBook Air, but runs really good on my main gaming rig. I just wanted to add this here: If there were a Kickstarter to get money to re-do some of the engine parts to make the game run faster, and for maybe some art/more music/effects... I seriously can say I'd easily give 200$ for it, that is how much I love the game, and it's worth it if not more, with over 200 hours combined on standalone, GOG and Steam version. You also should know that 200 hours in this game is NOTHING. Some players have thousands of hours and they're not even finished with their achievements and personal goals, and the game's replayability is insanely high, not just because it's a good roguelike, but because it's THE BEST roguelike currently! Oh, and did I mention that the game is open-source, so you can go and add stuff to it, make a new campaign? Just WOW. Bought at full price here and Steam, and would do it even if prices were higher.
