Started playing during the Alpha development phase and thoroughly enjoyed the game and its progress. Always stable with many improvements along the way. This game can suit many different types of players, with options and advanced options before starting each new game making the play anything from cruisy to hectic to total warfare - if that's your thing ;) You don't even need to have a family (kids). That's your option during game play to limiting or expanding how you want to interact with your fellow Foundies at a personal level. You decide how your village grows. For me, its all about building a small community with nice homes and surrounds. This while interacting with diverse groups from outside your village. About as much fun as any building game I've played over the last 25 years :)
Still a great game to play after 25 years - Sept 1999 A city builder that did many things right. Oh, and the GOG version with its updated exe is the only version worth buying !!!
