can't relate to these other reviews at all. I will only give 4 stars instead of 5 because the DLC felt kind of short, there is still plenty of content tho. I am also dissapointed with the story, it's fine at best but I thought it was boring maybe I shouldn't compare it with new vegas but after playing that game I can't avoid noticing. atleast it seems to be consistant tho. a lot of negative reviews are upset with the combat scenarios but that's the best part of it in my opinion. basically during combat there are infinite enemies spawning to attack you, so you can't just end the combat by killing them all instead there are objectives that you have to complete during combat while trying to survive the combat and the waves of these demons attacking you. yes, it sounds intimidating but first of all, it seems like there's a limit to the ammounts of enemies spawning, so don't worry about having 20 enemies attacking you. with that out of the way, I enjoyed these encounters, they make combat more interesting were you are forced to be more creative with tactics making them also way more memorable and an amazingly rewarding feeling when you accomplish them. on top of that there is also a set of pre war armor, which is the most epic looking armor in the game and I absolutely love it, even better the armor actually has really good stats. unfortunately since it's a high level DLC you don't really have too much to do in the game after the DLC to appreciate the armor but even just going through the DLC and the last mission had me satisfied.
(I know the title is argueable, just don't take it too literally...) not only is this one of the best computer RPGs ever, it's argueably one of the best star wars stories and the best part is that you get to be the hero in it and make a few decisions that will trully make a difference in the world. After finding the jedi master bastilla and escaping taris, you're going to travel through a few planets in the galaxy, to find out what darth malak and his master darth revan are planning. In your journy you're going to encounter siths, mandalorians, assassins that are after you, giant monsters, powerfull clans , corporations and families, outlaws, different tribes of alien races and a lot more really cool things. Other than being a jedi and crafting your own lightsaber at somepoint you will also get to bounty hunt through the galaxy, go swoop racing, become a duelist, gamble your money in games of pazaak and just scaveng in the dune sea of tatooine or in the shadowlands of kashyyk and a few other planets. Alone or with companians that you will have to find in your journy to assist you, all with their own stories and problem which you can help them with. the rpg elements are a lot of fun too, you get to manage the statistics, skills, equipment and force powers(only for jedis) of your companians individually, so you can specialize them for certain tasks, like having one companion for stealth and another to help you with computers. It's immersive and very exciting, especially if you liked the original star wars movies, there's even a really cool plot twist in the middle of the game which's is just as shocking as darth vader's true identity reveal, if not it's better. It's a must play if you're either a star wars fan or a RPG fan.
When it comes to compuer role playing games this is one of these games that you must have played if you're into the genre. It does pretty much everything right, eith a few issues that can easilly be avoided. The game is extremly buggy at times but most of the times you can just noclip your way out of bugs, I didn't bother to look up mods or unofficial patches since the GOG version just worked perfectly for me. For combat you will have to stick to melee, I maxed my ranged weapons skill and still it just seems unplayable, U constantly ran out of ammo, weapons are inaccurate at time, the ai is just not made for shooting and you just get to do much more damage by goin melee but it still somehow manages to create some kind of challenge... it did for me atleast I thought it was all good enough and kept me hooked unlike many other games.
