I've picked this game at release and finished it without ever wanting to stop playing. Yes there were bugs, but except for one crasher I found the critiques were rather exaggerated. Mind you, I was playing this on a mac, within bootcamp and using the shit apple drivers. The game still ran rather well, using a hacked AMD driver has done away with the crasher and from there on it was smooth sailing. Depending on what you value in the game you could see this any way you like. For me, the atmosphere of the night city was enough to put all of the other bad things aside and enjoy the ride.
Unfortunately the puzzles in the game are not very well constructed. The idea of the game is great, but the puzzles (outside of the challenge mode) can be all completed on auto-pilot, Also a warning: a portion of the game is in very harsh deep black - pure white shades, and it can be really tiring on eyes. Play this in a bright room.
