I barely knew anything about Alan Wake going into the first title; I only really knew that he was a writer. I didn't expect the game to be a survival, action, horror experience that was engaging from start to finish. While the ending left me a little unsatisfied, I assume that the sequel (a game I wish was on GOG.com), will pick up where this game left off. Overall, Alan Wake exceeded my expectations. I loved every second.

I absolutely adore the first Resident Evil game. Whether it is this remake, or the original. Despite the fact that this remaster uses upscaled assets from the original GameCube release, unlike the actual HD assets of the RE0 remaster, this game still looks phenomal; it plays even better than the original GameCube version of RE1. Having it available DRM-free through GOG made it an immediate purchase on my end, despite owning it on Steam (and probably owning it on other consoles in the future). This game is a must-play for everyone, even if you do not like Resident Evil, or survival horror in general. I cannot wait to fully complete the RE1 Remake for the first time.

Usually when this game is compared to the other 3 games in the series (City, Origins, Knight), it usually ends up in 4th or 3rd Place. I haven't beaten it yet, but it has already proven itself as an amazing game in the series. I'm excited to play through the rest of the series and finally beat them, all on GOG!
