A beautiful, emotional experience!

The game is simply beautiful. The colors, the animations, all the attention to detail. Pretty much every second of the experience is a potential screenshot. Sometimes I had to take a little break to take in the scenery. I'm not a hardcore gamer, and there were some places where the platforming was a bit frustrating, but not overly so. Many of the creative amd surprising puzzles were nothing I had seen in other games. For the most part the gameplay wasn't difficult - the game is more of an experience than a challenge. Definitely, it was an experience that will stay with me for a while.

Beautiful, but bugs and other issues

Based on the graphics and general style of the game, I would give it the full 5 stars. But sadly, the many bugs and performance problems are so distracting that I was about to give up the game. Performance: Playing on my Surface, I had to turn the resolution way down. The mouse was extremely laggy - not good for a point'n'click. And on the gaming computer, the 1070 started revving its fans. It's a point'n'click, for god's sake! Bugs: Where should I start? The laggy mouse cursor was a problem, but not the only one. Alt-tabbing back to the game, it would change resolution. If I restarted a previous chapter, I would have the same stuff still in my inventory, and it was selectable - but you could not use it! Playlength: Actually, I like it when a game doesn't overstay its welcome or when the length gets padded out. Short games are OK. But the story and the colorful characters in the game would have benifitted from some fleshing out. My recommendation: Get the game if you like quirky point'n'clicks and are willing to put up with some issues - but don't get it at full price.
