While tons of fans prefer the past installments that doesn't mean the fourth one should be ignored. This game is great and offers a good story to round off any questions related to the original 3 Silent Hill games. As for performance, the game runs nicely and I had no problems. The only thing I could criticize the game for is the removal of the "dreamy" white tint and the removal of some hauntings that the PS2 version had but those aren't a big deal. It'd be nice if they got patched in as a setting (or even as a New Fear reward in the settings). Hopefully Konami re-releases the other games on readily available platforms as they are great games and are definietly needing of some re-releases (even if they are pretty easy to get working on a PC).
