Game is a blast to play. I'm enjoying it a ton so far! It's exactly what I've wanted in a space exploration game. The inventory can be a little wonky and hard to get used to, but after that, it's been a blast. It's definitely a survival game too, which I like. The exploration and discovery is second to none though, and keeps me playing. I expected it to run bad with all the negative reviews around performance. I have an i5-4950, 8gb RAM, an SSD and a GTX 980. I went into the graphics options and put everything on high, 16 AF and FXAA anti aliasing. I also use Borderless mode. I'm not having any issues with playability at all and my framerate is high all the time (60+). Really surprised that folks are having so much trouble with this game, honestly. It's great, and I'm really eager to play a ton more!
