Not sure why people say it is crashing, freezing, and all that. I didn't experience a single crash. Possibly overclocked system is causing it? Hard drive corruption? I am playing Fallout 4 on Linux though, so it is not an apples to apples comparison. Lots to do and see, so much so you can forget what you were originally going to do when you set out to do something, unlike Starfield which seems to be the big empty in between points of interest. Starfield needs some work, so I am not giving up on it, but Fallout 4 is kind of like what Starfield should have been, but with Starfield on a bigger scale. At least that is what I was expecting but wasn't delivered. Fallout 4 - Great game. One of the best actually. My only criticism is you encounter power armor early on and take on a Deathclaw early on. Those should be late game things. No matter, it is still a great game.
If you want to know what it was like to hunt Nazi subs in WWII, this is the game. Not an easy task. Note it looks like the Linux installer is out of date at version 1.0.3 while Windows enjoys 1.0.9. Hopefully this will get fixed. Note it runs with Glorious Eggroll just fine, but I would rather have a good Linux installer.
It is cheaper to buy RCT1 and RCT2 and then combine them with OpenRCT2 which is designed for modern hardware and will play better than whatever this thing is. RCT1: https://www.gog.com/en/game/rollercoaster_tycoon_deluxe RCT2: https://www.gog.com/en/game/rollercoaster_tycoon_2 OpenRCT2 to combine them and bring them to modern standards: https://openrct2.io/
Why do I say the above? The concept is great. Makes you want to play, but then you get into the meat of the game. You have use a machine to take over the bodies of your past relatives... So the writers clearly do not understand time paradoxes for one, and this is just a dumb concept for another. Who comes up with this stuff? No one religious should play this as its story is a blatant attack on multiple religions. So much so, the game gives you a warning about it at the very beginning that we are not to be offended. Interesting. Then comes the repetitive game play. Same thing over and over and over again. Not any real creative ways to play your craft. Mostly running away, climb something, drop on target, rinse and repeat. On the positive side, the locations are interesting to explore... Just that the core game itself isn't.
But I had a problem where it was constantly showing that I had some sort of console controller hooked up and I don't. Showing hit the A button for everything at once and it would flicker the A button logo as I moved the mouse. If someone experiences the same thing and solves it, I will buy again.
