CDPR, you burned me good. I'm still soaking the wounds in my found memories of the Witcher series, but I think they're gonna scar. The game was such a mess at release, I didn't touch it for a year. I recently booted it, played for an hour, and I think I've had enough. It's a pretty version of Deus Ex, that doesn't run as well. The gunplay mechanics are so clunky I honestly feel like I'm playing a shooter from 2007. It doesn't matter at this point if you patch the game up and make it perfect. The trust is obliterated. I'll wait until the next big game is half off like 2077 is right now before even considering a purchase.
I've wanted to play this game again, for a VERY long time. I never did beat it, as I was probably only 9 or 10 when I played it last...and it's been one of my life regrets. I did try to get this going on an emulator, but had issues with frame rate, and ended up getting stuck early on so I gave up on it. I WILL FINALLY BEAT FPFP, AND THEN I CAN REST IN PEACE. This game is chock full of humorous one liners, wild west satire, and straight 90's nostalgia. I haven't purchased yet, so I'm not sure how it runs...
