Kingpin is an unconventional FPS that is uncompromising towards today's players and doesn't hesitate to punish them for every mistake. The player finds himself in the shoes of a brawler who embarks on a journey of revenge against the main Kingpin. The game runs on the IdTech2 engine, which doesn't impress modern gamers much these days, but it's not downright repulsive either, especially with the downloadable HD textures. It is an FPS that offers more open and elaborate levels, including vertical ones. The dirtiness and atmosphere of the streets is amazing. Gameplay-wise, it doesn't dwell too much on explanation - it's preferable to interact with NPCs, search the bodies of killed enemies, and pay attention to small details for the purposes of moving forward. The game also offers a decent arsenal of weaponry, from a pipe to a rocket launcher.
