I had quite serious reservations about Cuberpunk 2077. My main concern was about making a good story and a setting that feels right. I've run quite a few cyberpunk roleplaying sessions back in the day and it's easily the hardest thing I've ever done as a "dungeon master". As I do not see any reason in preordering anything, I waited out until release, read all the bug reports, negative comments about combat system, stuff like that. After a few days I decided I want to be in with all the fancy bugs as they make a story for a life, not just a game experience. The bugs were not even half serious, got some good laughs out of it, but only minor annoyance. Most annoying are the trees and bushes that just want to be stamped over everything. I got over it as a glitch on my visual system and carried on though. What was truly shocing, is that story is best damn computer gaming I've ever had and medicore combat system doesn't really take anything out from it. Witcher 3 set the bar quite high, but for me, this easily bypass the hardwired settings there. Thre are some downsides, combat could be better, loot system is meh to me, character development is something that I could throw into a trash can, driving controls with Mouse&Keyborad are pain in the ass and some minor bugs run rampant. But Story easily overcomes those, causing a true System Shock. And then set it all on fire. Never fading away. Chippin' in...
