For all the advances in AI and graphics, modern 'immersive' RPG games simply can't touch this. UU 2 is completely and utterly engrossing. The plot unfolds beautifully and there's a ton of gameplay. It's challenging enough but not so hard as to be annoying. Another game I still have an original hardcopy of but have been unable to play for ages. Oh and this one DOES play on OSX, unlike Populous The Beginning (my mistake :) ) Thanks again GOG!
Thanks GOG, I still have my original discs for DK and this but they aren't usable on my current PC. Amazing then that these great games can be had for so little and I can now play em on my lovely macbook. Totally ace :) Games themselves need no review, they're unique and visionary creations you owe it to yourself to play. A great pity Peter Molyneux disappeared from the games world. The pre-baked DOS emulator works a charm btw - DK ran fine out of the box on OSX in hi-res - even with Window 7 x64 running in parallels at the same time (and with several instances of Visual C++ and eclipse open). Great stuff! Download without hesitation!
