I didn't have the joy of experiencing Terra Nova back in 1996 but, I wish I had. This game was a joy to play. As a MechWarrior/BattleTech fan I was in love with this game's mechanics. Whether it's the squad commands, primary and secondary weapons, different suits, or ASF systems I really got a kick out of this game's charm. I've never played LGS' other games so I went into this game as an unbiased player and I'm glad I did. If you are a fan of the old MechWarrior games or the Tribes games pick this one up. It's dirt cheap and worth the time. There are a few caveats though. The story is super campy 90's vibes, don't expect a cerebral narrative with well contructed twists and turns. Also the controls take some getting used to. However, if you can look past that and enjoy the ride then you'll love this hidden gem.
One of the top games of my teen years. I beat this on the original Xbox and loved it back then. I read all the books which are also a fun experience. If you enjoy military Sci-Fi in the Star Wars universe give them a read. Just know that like the books this game will never get a proper ending. You should still play this game. This game runs like a dream and there are some great mods on modDB that make it look great. The game is also really fast paced with mouse and keyboard. I bought the rerelease on switch and it felt like playing in molasses compared to this. Give this one a go you won't be bored.
