By purchasing this edition you'll get exclusive race picture, novel, and artbook among other bonuses. The extra race is nice addition, the novel storyline is good: it tells you about a journey of a colonization ship from an empire in the game, and the artbook is my favorite bonus item: it tell you about the development of the game with some picture of stellaris arts.
This game is fun space 4x game, you can build federation with other empire and there are end game crisis that might change political landscape in the galaxy, you can exploit this situation by attacking weakened empire or unite your federation to fend off the crisis.
