Fallout: London

An overhyped mess

I really really wish i had more positive things to say about this mod but unfortunately i cannot. Sure, the mod is extremely ambitious and the people responsible for it have done a lot of work trying to create it but these are the only real positive things i can say about it. First things first, the mod is a mess in terms of functionality. Sure, the crashes have been reduced to a tolerable level but the major issue i've encountered are the horrendous loading times which are absolutely unacceptable and certainly not present in Fallout 4. I tried every solution i found online but could find no real fix. As it is right now the mod is borderline unplayable. Besides these issues, the mod isn't even that good. We have a generic and mediocre main story that fails to give you a sense of urgency, some cardboard and extremely forgettable characters, uninteresting companions, a dull and in my opinion poorly designed game world and in the end a very uninteresting and boring game that feels almost nothing like a Fallout game and is most certainly very very inferior from Fallout 4. Now, i know that most people will disagree with my review (some even vehemently) but i felt i had to write it as this mod gets ridiculously rave reviews which seem to gloss over its major problems

Good idea, bad execution

The idea for this game sounds extremely interesting and intriguing on paper but ( and this is a big but) the execution is a bit problematic to say the least. -The game time is extremely short ( you might finish it in one playthrough) and the replaybility value is non existent. -There's no real choise in the game except in the final chapter. -The story starts out quite dull and uninteresting and although it does improve in the middle portion in unfortunately falls flat in the end. -Although it tries to be political the mediocre story does not allow you to get immersed in it and appreciate its political message.

Battle mechanic ruins experiance

This game looks a lot like a bunch of other similar "modern" space battle games like Starpoint Gemini 2 but with less ships and poorer immersion. However the worst thing in it is that the developers chose to be different by implementing a controversial battle mechanic where the ships can only fire their main weapons in a broadside fashion like the ancient sail ships. This mechanism is completely ridiculous and at least for me ruins the entire game experiance since you have to make time consuming maneuvers just to be able to fire the damn main weapons.
