Wolfenstein: The New Order

very good FPS, very bad Wolfenstein

From technical side, New Order is very good game - it has nice graphics, good sound, GREAT gunplay, decent AI, pretty high difficulty. Well, there is a lack of good physics, but fortunately some of enviroment elements still can be destroyed. Looking at this game from the script side - well... Plot is... WEIRD. I think the story could have been easly wrote much better. The world shown is ridiculously too far futuristic for 60's, even them alternative version. Weapons, buildings and locations looks at least like it's 90's. There is one word to describe environment in this game - CONCRETE. Nazis loved antiques and antic buildings - where are they?! While playing this game it feels like modern times, not just only 15 years after WW2! Dialogues are absolutely dumb, mostly because of Blazkowicz is dumb. BJ have a vibe of big strong dumb soldier dude, not of a clever secret super special agent. Almost always when he open his mouth he sounds like he's been a bit retarded. Half of his quotes are some jibberish. Rest of characters aren't much better. I can't even blame Allies for lost the war while having IQ like this. I love RTCW and really like Wolfenstein 2009 - New Order unfortunately has nothnig common with them. This game don't have soul of it's predecessors. It's worth to try just for fun from shooting modern nazis, but this game is not true Wolfenstein anymore.
