If you are a fan of the Grand Theft Auto Franchise and would enjoy something similar, keep moving. This game is best described as a lower quality GTA III clone. Shockingly GTA IV came out the same year as this and they are in entirely different leagues. The game suffers from many graphical bugs. The AI difficulty curve is broken. At 1 and 2 stars the AI poses no threat at all, but as soon as you hit 3 stars, you can almost guarantee death. There is no ramp up time. The controller detection is good, but all of the in-game prompts still show keyboard controls while using a controller. The cut scenes and general storytelling are only memorable in the fact that they are such low quality. While I would love to have a GTA game on GOG, this does not scratch that itch in any way except that the idea is similar. Save yourself the headache and play a GTA game. *Note: This copy was a free gift from a GOG promotion.
Mechanics: 5/5 --- The puzzles are extremely well done and the physics in the game are so wacky that many puzzles can be solved in multiple ways. In fact there is one trick I learned that allowed me to climb any wall by swinging my character back and forth to slowly gain altitude. This would have bypassed many of the puzzles and I do not recommend it as it cheapens the experience. Graphics: 3/5 --- This isn't a photo realistic game, but it still deserves some praise for being easy on the eyes and a game that should run well on most machines. Performance: 4/5 --- I encountered only one bug during the entire play-through and that was on the final level where objects would sometimes glitch into other solid objects. For that I can not give it a perfect score. Story: N/A --- The game is just a straight forward puzzle game, although the narrator in the first level gave me a few laughs. Music: 1/5 --- I was disappointed that the vast majority of the game leaves you in silence. I find it bizarre that some arbitrary sections had sound. Time to Beat: 1/5 (6 hours 45 minutes) --- It isn't an epic 60 hour journey, but I do not regret my money spent per time played. Roughly $2 per hour. Difficulty: 2/5 --- I only had to search online once for a hint to a puzzle. Otherwise the puzzles are very well explained and only the last level really had me scratching my brain. Replay Value: 1/5 --- Very low score here due to the fact that once you know how to beat the puzzles most of the fun is gone in my opinion. All values are ranked from lowest (1) to highest (5) with 5 being the best. Final Note: I want to thank the developer for allowing this game to be distributed DRM-free here on GOG and GOG for providing a stable platform to purchase and play the game with.
